North Sky Photography Studio might be a new name, but the photographers behind it have been capturing memories in Fairbanks for decades.

Cassandra, fresh from the darkroom in high school, job shadowed Joyce, owner of Joyce McKenzie Photography and Portraits Studio. She has been taking photos ever since- almost 20 years! She went on to earn a degree in Photojournalism at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, as well as attend the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana. Home, or rather Joyce, came calling, and Cassandra returned to Fairbanks with plans to take over the photography studio when Joyce retired.

Cassandra is lucky enough to have some incredible people work with her at the studio. Her husband Mark and her sister Christina help at events. Both Megan and Erin do a wonderful job keeping the students smiling on School Picture Day.
